• Born in 1966 in Sofia, Bulgaria
• Medical studies at the universities of Sofia and Dresden
• Specialist training in anaesthesiology at the University Clinic of Dresden and Münster
• Twelve years as a freelance anaesthetist and A&E specialist with own surgery, concentrating on pain therapy
• Active at the Clínica Picasso and Clínica Juaneda in Palma de Mallorca

In 1997, Dr. Krassimir Shelev joined the Evangelical Hospital in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, where he was Chief Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia, Intensive Medicine, A&E and Pain Medicine.

From 2000 to 2011, he practised as an anaesthetist and A&E specialist in out-patient treatment and integrated pain therapy in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia. Dr. Krassimir Shelev has appeared as a speaker at various national and international conferences. Periods of secondment in Germany and elsewhere have allowed him to ensure that his medical skills in the fields of anaesthesiology and pain therapy meet the latest standards .
